Nestled in the heart of Dallas, Yehana's Bar and Kitchen offers an authentic taste of Ethiopia that truly captivates the senses. This Ethiopian restaurant at 9560 Skillman St ste 106 stands out not only for its flavorful cuisine but also for its warm, inviting atmosphere that feels more like sharing a meal in someone's cherished home than dining out.
The menu boasts an enticing selection of traditional favorites and delightful options. For pasta enthusiasts, dishes like the rich, creamy Fettuccine Alfredo or the tangy, herb-infused Spaghetti Marinara provide a comforting, familiar touch. But it is in the lamb entrees where Yehana’s truly shines. Plates like Yebeg Tibs — tender lamb sautéed with fragrant spices — and Yebeg Wot — a hearty lamb stew simmered to perfection — offer a symphony of deep, warming flavors that linger long after the last bite. One cannot miss the Awaze Tibs, where succulent lamb is elevated with Ethiopia’s signature spicy, chili-packed awaze sauce, offering just the right kick for those seeking boldness without overwhelming the palate.
The dining experience is enriched by the attentive, gracious staff who embody Ethiopian hospitality. Guests frequently praise team members such as Yeti, whose genuine warmth and patience make even first-timers feel instantly at ease, no matter how many menu questions they may have. The vibrant atmosphere — enlivened with the subtle aroma of traditional incense and Ethiopian coffee brewing — invites you to relax, savor, and connect.
One of the restaurant’s highlights is its authentic Ethiopian Coffee, freshly roasted with aromatic spices, providing a perfect complement to the robust flavors found on the plates. Whether paired with a steaming cup of Ethiopian Tea or a light café latte, the beverage selection balances the rich, often spicy culinary offerings with smooth, soothing notes.
Regular patrons like Ab Plaza laud Yehana's for its consistency, generous portions, and reasonable pricing, while others like Edward Alomar highlight the thoughtful care poured into every dish and the restaurant’s ability to accommodate large groups without missing a beat. For those who appreciate a well-prepared meal steeped in culture and tradition, Yehana’s Bar and Kitchen stands out as a must-visit. The combined flavors, hospitality, and vibrant energy leave a lasting impression, inviting you back again and again to explore the rich tapestry of Ethiopian cuisine.

I love Yehana’s bar and kitchen so very much. The food is outstanding, always - so consistent and reasonably priced. The restaurant staff are also immensely patience as I'm always trying to figure out the menu because I forget what I ordered the last time and they answer all of my questions about the menu. Amazing customer service during times such as these are very appreciated! This place is a staple in the Dallas TX area, big parking lot also if you're visiting, this is a must for delicious, fresh Ethiopian and Eritrean cuisine. Also, they have great dairy-free options and healthy dishes.

I went this restaurant about 1:10 am and we met Yeti there. She is so good in her work. Even though we reached almost closing time but she did warm welcome and give us such a lovely hospitality. Keep up the great work Ms. Yeti

The food was outstanding, you can tell the kitchen puts a lot of thought into the dishes and I really enjoyed it - I had the firfir Tibs, the meat was well seasoned and it had a nice kick. The atmosphere was great for our party - we had about 13 people with us and the food came out on time for us all. We enjoyed drinks with the owner and overall had a great time. We had a birthday in our party and they made sure she felt special on her day. I highly recommend the restaurant- parking was easy and getting in and out was a breeze.

Very small and dark. And the incense was a bit overbearing, but the food was really good and portions were huge. Little too huge. (I’m a big guy, I can eat) One plate could feed 2 people easily. The staff were very polite and attentive. Will definitely return when back in the area.
